We planned some stuff today. After the last sprint we were a little more realistic in the amount of points we scored things and the amount of detail we put in the story cards.
I hope that should help, though I have noticed that we are trying to load the cards so that there is enough work to be distributed around the team. I thought (maybe wrongly) that the idea of the board was to get more members of the team working together and sharing the knowledge. A sort of group intelligence. But I guess that that kind of behaviour is not an easy thing to do straight away and will take a little time.
After the sprint I had Welsh class for a while, which was good fun. But I have a long way to go.
And then the rest of the day was spent , first asking for a little help with some view testing, which then turned into a little escapade with git branches and merges.
I’m haven’t got a really good mental model of how Git is supposed to work yet, but am still managing daily tasks. As soon as I get a metaphor that works for me I think it will be easier to run commands and see what the outcomes, should be compared to what they are.
It feels a little frustrating to have to mess around with Git - which is after all designed to make life easier.
Anyway. tomorrow is another day, and it seems the repository is nice and clean once more, so I can resume some view testing tomorrow
